UPDATE FOR THE WIZARDS

The Capitals of Washington have lost their last two games and five of their last six overall. Since All-Star point guard Bradley Beal has been sidelined for the last five games with a hamstring injury, the team has struggled mightily.

Beal, who will return to action in a week after missing time with two hamstring injuries, has played in just 24 games so far this year. Currently, Beal is averaging 22.9 points per game on 52.5% shooting and 5.2 assists per game, both of which are significant contributions to his team’s success.

Beal’s availability for Wednesday’s game against the Knicks is in question due to a hamstring injury.

Beal has missed the past five games, and eight of Washington’s last nine, due to a hamstring injury. Superstar guard reportedly returned to practice on Sunday.

Nothing definitive about his status for Wednesday’s game will be known until much closer to the 7:30 p.m. ET opening tip.
