Week 17 Injury Updates: Jalen Hurts, Jonnu Smith, Hunter Henry and Will Dissly

SUMAMRY
- Will Dissly
- Hunter Henry
- Jonnu Smith
- Jalen Hurts
1. Will Dissly
UPDATE (DEC. 31): According to John Boyle of the Seahawks’ official website, the Seahawks are still deciding whether Dissly will need surgery to repair his knee injury.
On the offensive side of the ball, the Seahawks have a number of injured playmakers, including Dissly. According to head coach Pete Carroll, he’ll have his knee examined because he was initially diagnosed with a knee contusion. If he is unable to play in Week 17, Noah Fant’s usage could skyrocket.
2. Hunter Henry
UPDATE (DEC. 31): Henry (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins after only limited practice this week, according to Evan Lazar of the Patriots’ official website.
Hunter When Henry and Jonnu Smith collided in the fourth quarter of the Patriots’ Week 16 loss, Henry left the game and did not return. The Patriots have since classified him as “day-to-day,” and if Henry and Jonnu Smith both miss time, they will be greatly missed as the team enters must-win territory in the final two weeks of the season.

3. Jonnu Smith
UPDATE (DEC. 31): Smith (concussion) will not play against the Dolphins on Sunday, according to Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald.
In the fourth quarter of the Patriots’ Week 16 loss, Jonnu Smith was evaluated for a head injury. There has been no official word on his Week 17 status, so we’ll have to wait and see if he’s at Patriots practice on Wednesday.
4. Jalen Hurts

UPDATE (DEC. 31): Hurts (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Saints, according to Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia.
Jalen Hurts has stated that he is day-to-day, so we’ll see how the Eagles handle this situation in Week 17. The Eagles need to win one more game to clinch the NFC East, but with Dallas already having a head-to-head win over them, there’s no guarantee they’ll win without Hurts.
Will a full week of rest be enough for his SC joint in his shoulder to heal sufficiently to allow him to play? Keep an eye on this week’s practice reports.
