Jalen Hurts (born August 7, 1998) is an American football quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles. Selected by the Eagles in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Hurts became their starter near the end of his rookie season.

UPDATE (Dec. 20): The quarterback’s status for the Eagles’ Week 16 game in Dallas is questionable after Jalen Hurts sprained his right shoulder during Sunday’s victory over the Bears, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Hurts underwent X-rays following Sunday’s game, which revealed the problem, according to Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com. Although numerous reports indicate the problem isn’t a long-term one, the quarterback might miss one or two games, according to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Hurts suffered the injury late in the third quarter while attempting to rush to the right side, but he continued playing and went on to direct a scoring drive in the fourth quarter that was culminated by a one-yard touchdown run and a successful two-point conversion run.
