Hamlin received immediate medical attention on the field by team and independent medical staff and local paramedics. He was then transported to a local hospital where he is in critical condition.

Acording to Ira Turner, Hamlin’s agent: “His vitals are stable, but the 24-year-old has been placed on a breathing tube.”

NFL Media received the following statement from Ira Turner: “Please continue to pray for Damar and his family. We currently have no update at this time. Will ask that you keep the family in your prayers.”

The league has made no further announcements about the future of the game, which has taken a back seat to Hamlin’s critical condition.
