- NBA game: Warriors vs. Raptors Injury Reports: Will Stephen Curry and Pascal Siakam READY on Sunday?
The Los Angeles Lakers (12-16; 12-15-1 ATS) got back on track last Friday. Following Tuesday’s heartbreaking 122-118 overtime loss to the Boston Celtics,
LeBron James is still nursing an ankle injury, but he is expected to play through it, particularly if Davis takes his time returning. Following Anthony Davis’ (foot) injury in the second half, James moved to center, allowing the Lakers to keep their lead and defeat the Nuggets.
In 36 minutes against the Nuggets on Friday, James had 30 points (13-20 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), nine rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
According to Spectrum SportsNet’s Mike Trudell, Anthony Davis will miss Sunday’s game against Washington and will be evaluated further on his right foot after leaving Friday’s game due to an injury.
Davis left the game in the first half of Friday’s game with an unspecified right foot injury and will miss the game on Sunday. It’s unclear whether he’ll be out for long, but Thomas Bryant and Damian Jones should benefit from his absence. Davis’ next chance to play will come on Monday in Phoenix.
The games on Saturday were excluded from the analysis, and the 11-18 Washington Wizards traveled to Los Angeles to try to snap an eight-game losing streak. Last Wednesday, the Wizards opened a six-game road trip with a 141-128 loss to the Denver Nuggets.
According to the Wizards’ injury reports, Bradley Beal (hamstring) will miss Sunday’s game against the Lakers.
Beal went through a full practice on Friday and was listed as questionable on the injury report, but he will miss at least one more game.
