An image purporting to show Jordan Poole’s eye injury has gone viral on the internet, and fans are wondering if it’s true.
The alleged fake image of Jordan Poole’s eye injury went viral following Draymond Green’s incident

According to The Athletic, an altercation erupted between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole during the Warriors’ practice session on Wednesday (October 5, 2022).
The two players reportedly began trash-talking before Green got in Poole’s face, resulting in Green punching Poole.
Despite the fact that practice was closed to the media, video footage was leaked to TMZ, who obtained the video.
It’s unclear how the information got out, but ESPN reports that the Warriors are “aggressively investigating” the incident.
Draymond Green publicly apologized for the incident with his teammate earlier in the week on Saturday (8 October).
“I was wrong for my actions that took place on Wednesday and for that, I have apologized to my team,” Green told reporters Saturday. “I have apologized to Jordan.”
Green also stated that he will be absent from the team for “a few days” so that the Warriors can “start their healing.”
The four-time All-Star said he will accept the challenge of “righting the ship,” which he described not as a “easy process.”
“But I also look forward to continuing to better myself and my emotional state and how I deal with my emotions,” he said. “I think that one thing that I lack is how to let emotions out.”
A bogus photo of Jordan Poole’s eye injury has gone viral on social media
Jordan Poole has not been interviewed by the media since the incident. Golden State general manager Bob Myers told reporters on Thursday that the team, including Poole, practiced without Green.
“Everybody’s fine,” Myers said. “Jordan practiced [on Thursday], Draymond didn’t.
A bogus photo of Jordan Poole’s eye injury went quickly viral on Twitter over the weekend.
Poole is shown facing the camera with a large purple bruise above his left eye in the fake image, which attracted a lot of attention.
The image, however, is not real and has been photoshopped with another image. Poole is also wearing a gold hoop earring in his left ear, which the Warriors player does not have.
People are understandably interested in hearing from Poole after such a publicized incident, but he has remained silent. We do know, however, that he has continued to practice.
On Saturday night, NBA reporter Jason Dumas posted video of Poole working on his floater with the Warriors:

Head coach Steve Kerr has stated that there is “no set date” for Green’s return and that it will be determined through private discussions among all parties involved.
