Is Jayson Tatum, Rudy Gobert playing today? Injury report Celtics – Timberwolves

The Boston Celtics will face the Minnesota Timberwolves in Minneapolis. Boston won the first meeting between these teams during the regular season, 121-109.

Update injury status for Jayson Tatum and Rudy Gobert

The previous game for the Minnesota Timberwolves ended in a 136-115 victory over the Atlanta Hawks. They scored a lot of points and that will be key if they want to beat the Celtics in Boston.

Due to a sprained left ankle, Rudy Gobert may not play on Wednesday against the Celtics.

On Monday, the Hawks were defeated 136-115 thanks in large part to his performance in all 30 minutes of the game. He finished with 14 points (5-10 FG, 4-5 FT), 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks, and 1 steal.

Gobert’s day began on a worrying note because of a sprained left ankle, but the seasoned center played the full complement of minutes with no apparent discomfort.

For the seven games he has appeared in since the All-Star break, Gobert has posted averages of 16.3 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, 1.9 assists, and 1.3 steals on 63.9% shooting from the field.

With Naz Reid (left calf) also questionable for Wednesday’s game, it’s possible that Luka Garza and Nathan Knight will see more playing time in their absence.

The Boston Celtics had previously lost to the Houston Rockets by a score of 111-109. They struggled to put points on the board, so they’ll need to find their shooting form in order to beat the T-Wolves away from home.

In the Eastern Conference, the Celtics are 2.5 games behind the Milwaukee Bucks, who are in first place. And in their last 10 games, they’ve gone just (5-5).

In Monday’s 111-109 loss to the Rockets, Jayson Tatum again stepped up as the team’s offensive leader by scoring 22 points (8-22 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), pulling down 8 rebounds, dishing out 6 assists, and swiping 1 steal in 41 minutes of action.

Tatum scored 22 points on Monday despite having shooting woes that day. His recent assist numbers, however, have been through the roof.

On the season, the superstar forward has dished out 4.8 dimes per game, but in his last 15, he has averaged 6.0 per game.
