In an interconference matchup, two teams looking to improve after slowly starts to the season meet on a neutral floor south of the border. The Miami Heat are on the road, traveling to Mexico City to play the San Antonio Spurs.
Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler’s latest injury status
- NBA game: Clippers vs. Wizards Injury Report: Are Paul George and Norman Powell READY for Saturday’ game?
The Heat won their third straight game on Thursday night, defeating Houston in both games of a back-to-back set on the road. The Heat improved to 15-15 on the season, putting them a half-game ahead of the Hawks in the Southeast Division heading into Friday.
Tyler Herro is listed as probable for Saturday’s game against the Spurs due to a left ankle sprain.
The Heat have a history of accumulating injuries, and Saturday is no exception. Every other Heat player is on the roster, including Herro. He’s been listed as probable in previous games and has played in nearly all of them, so his status shouldn’t be too concerning.
Jimmy Butler (knee) is listed as probable for Saturday’s game against the Spurs due to injury management.
Butler’s knee injury is still being monitored, but he’s only been out for half of Miami’s recent back-to-back sets. Given that Saturday’s game is not a back-to-back, Butler is likely to play and handle his usual workload. Butler has averaged 23.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 5.8 assists in six appearances since returning from a seven-game absence.
Vincent (knee) has been out from the competition. Adebayo’s (ankle), Dedmon’s (foot), Haslem’s (Achilles), Lowry’s (knee), and Martin’s injuries are questionable.
The Spurs’ three-game winning streak was snapped when they were defeated at home by the Portland Trail Blazers the night before. The Spurs finished the season 9-19, tied for last place in the Southwest Division with Houston, and were 10 games behind New Orleans for first place.
Wesley (knee) will miss this game as he recovers from a Grade 3 MCL sprain.
Josh Richardson (personal) is also out of this game. While Langford’s (ankle) status is uncertain, keep an eye out for updates.
