Jimmy Butler III, nicknamed “Jimmy Buckets,” is an American professional basketball player for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Latest Injury Reports of Jimmy Butler

Injury:

Status: Active

Update (Feb. 04):

Tonight, Jimmy Butler will play for the Heat when they play the Bucks.

Update (Feb. 02):

Butler beat the Cavaliers 100-97 on Tuesday. In 34 minutes, he scored 23 points (6-16 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 10-15 FT), grabbed one rebound, gave five assists, blocked one shot, and stole three balls.

Even though he was listed as “questionable” with a right quadriceps contusion, Butler will play in his third straight game. This comes after he missed a game with a lower back injury at the last minute.

On Tuesday, when the team won, Butler scored the most points, made the most free throws, and gave the most assists. So far this season, Butler has scored at least 20 points and given out at least five assists in 12 games.

Update (Jan. 31):

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald says that Butler’s status for Tuesday’s game against the Cavaliers is “questionable” because of a right quadriceps contusion.

Butler might not be able to play in Miami’s game against Cleveland on Tuesday because he has played 33 minutes in each of the team’s last two games. If the star forward can’t play, his next chance to play will be Thursday against the Knicks.

Update (Jan. 29):

For Friday’s game against the Magic, Butler logged 33 minutes and finished with 29 points (10-17 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 9-12 FT), six rebounds, six assists, and two steals.

Friday, Butler returned to the starting lineup and played a significant role in the Heat’s come-from-behind victory. For the rest of the season, coaches will likely continue to be annoyed by players who regularly miss games. Coaches can rest easy knowing that his per-game value is spot on. Butler’s current teams will have to hope for the best if he is sidelined for any length of time due to injury, as no other team is likely to honor his trade request.

Update (Jan. 24):

Jimmy Butler had 18 points (5-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 8-10 FT), five steals, four rebounds, and two assists in the Bulls’ 100-96 win over the Pelicans on Sunday. All of this was done in 34 minutes.

The most interesting thing about Butler’s game is that he had five steals even though he only played 15.4% of the time and point guard Kyle Lowry (17 points in 30 minutes) took on more responsibility.

Recently, Butler’s offense has been slowing down. In five of his last six games, he has scored less than 20 points. During that time, he is still making 55.7 percent of his field goals and 90% of his free throws.

Update (Jan. 20):

Butler is prepared to face the Mavericks on Friday.

Update (Dec. 30):

Jimmy Butler (ankle) is probable for Friday’s game against the Nuggets.

He returned from a one-game absence Wednesday against the Lakers and tallied 27 points, six steals, five rebounds and four assists in 35 minutes. He’ll likely be able to suit up once again Friday and will likely be able to handle a significant workload following Wednesday’s impressive performance.

Update (Dec. 28):

Butler (ankle) is listed as questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Lakers.

Update (Dec. 26):

Jimmy Butler (ankle) is listed as questionable for Monday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Update (Dec. 23):

Butler (knee/illness) is expected to play against the Pacers on Friday.

Update (Dec. 20):

Jimmy Butler is probable for Tuesday’s game against the Bulls with right knee injury management.

Butler is listed as injured, but he is unlikely to miss Tuesday’s game against his draft team. Through his first 20 games this season, Butler is averaging 21.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 1.9 steals in 35.2 minutes per game.

Update (Dec. 17):

Jimmy Butler (knee) is listed as probable for Saturday’s game against the Spurs due to injury management.

Butler’s knee injury is still being monitored, but he’s only been out for half of Miami’s recent back-to-back sets. Given that Saturday’s game is not a back-to-back, Butler is likely to play and handle his usual workload. Butler has averaged 23.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 5.8 assists in six appearances since returning from a seven-game absence.

Update (Dec. 15):

Jimmy Butler will miss Thursday’s game against the Rockets.

Update (Dec. 14):

Jimmy Butler will miss Wednesday’s game against the Thunder due to right knee injury management.
