Injury Reports Pistons - Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies briefly struggled to adjust to injuries and a roster lacking the same level of depth they had last year, but are now back near the top of the Western Conference standings.

Due to a sore right shoulder, Steven Adams’ participation in Friday’s game against the Pistons is in doubt.

Adams has experienced a number of injuries throughout December, missing a game due to hip soreness and now being listed as questionable for Friday’s game due to shoulder pain.

Currently, Jake LaRavia (foot) is rated as questionable.

LaRavia will likely miss the Grizzlies’ sixth straight game on Friday if his situation does not change at the last minute. If so, Monday’s game against the Hawks would be his next opportunity to play.

Like many other teams this season, the Detroit Pistons have experienced injury problems, which has slowed the growth of several of their younger players. The Pistons enter this game with an overall record of just 7-20 and are currently tied for 14th place in the Eastern Conference with the most losses.

Cade Cunningham (shin), who missed Tuesday’s game against the Cavaliers due to injury, was spotted shooting free throws before the game. It’s unclear, though, whether he’ll play in today’s game.

Despite the fact that shooting isn’t a particularly strenuous activity, Cunningham’s participation in warm-ups is perplexing given that it’s possible he has a stress fracture in his left shin that may eventually require surgery.

Meanwhile, Isaiah Livers (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Friday’s game against the Grizzlies, according to Mike Curtis of the Detroit News.
