On Wednesday, the New Orleans Pelicans facing off against the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference battle at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.
Latest Updates LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Brandon Ingram’s injuries
The Lakers will be hoping to reverse their recent trend when they face the Pelicans on Wednesday.
Davis may be able to play despite his sore right foot, according to Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times.
Until recently, the Lakers’ star was listed as “probable” due to an ongoing foot injury.
On Monday against the Trail Blazers, Davis played 31 minutes and contributed 19 points (8-18 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 20 rebounds, three blocks, and one assist in a 127-115 loss.
Davis said, “We definitely need to win more games than we lose.” “I think we can do it with the people we have now; we just need to move faster. It will definitely be a little bit hard.”
This star center has been on an absolute tear recently, averaging 20.4 points, 14.8 boards, 1.8 dimes, and 1.8 blocks in 34.2 minutes over his last five games.

With his left ankle still bothering him, LeBron James has missed the Lakers’ last three games. James has averaged 33.9 points per game over his last 17, putting him within striking distance of Kareem Abdul-NBA Jabbar’s record. He is averaging 30.2 points per game so far this season.
According to Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times, James’s status for tonight’s game is in doubt due to an ankle injury.
Even though the Lakers always report injuries as “questionable,” Brad Turner said on Monday that LeBron James hoped to play against the Pelicans. This brings him much closer to being a certainty than he was before.
The Pelicans ended a six-game road losing streak on Monday with a 103-100 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Ingram’s return has been the driving force behind the team’s recent surge of success.
The Pels’ leading scorer put up 34 points (14-24 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT) along with four boards and an assist in 32 minutes of action on Monday.
For the first 12 points of the game, Ingram had the ball in his hands for the Pelicans. In the final three minutes, he made two crucial jump shots that ultimately prevented a comeback by the Thunder.
Since his return from a toe injury in late January, Ingram has averaged 20.1 points per game. He had 30+ point performances in 3 of those games.
After the All-Star break, Zion Williamson’s (hamstring) injury is expected to keep him out even longer, which should lead to more monster offensive games for Ingram. He has had at least 20 shots in four games since his return.
