Update on Darius Garland and Collin Sexton’ injury status

Injury Reports Cavaliers - Jazz

NBA game:

The Cavaliers have been playing well over the last week, winning three games in a row. They’ll try to keep the momentum going by defeating the Jazz for the fourth time in a row.

Garland finished with 18 points (8-18 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, 12 assists, one block, and four steals in 44 minutes against Dallas on Saturday.

He is a top-50 player this season, but he falls short of what managers hoped for after their draft. There is certainly scope for his efficiency to increase moving forward, meaning this could still be viewed as a possible buy-low moment.

Cleveland has one of the best defenses in the league, allowing 104.6 points per game. They allowed 99 points in their previous game and will need to match that effort to win.

According to Cavaliers coach J.B. Bickerstaff, Dylan Windler (ankle) is progressing “slowly,” but he is able to do some limited on-court work.

Windler has yet to make his season debut due to a sprained right ankle. His 4-6 week return date from November 16 appears to be taking longer than anticipated. Windler is unlikely to play again in the coming weeks.

Dean Wade (Shoulder) and Lamar Stevens (Knee) are both doubtful for this game.

In their most recent game, the Bucks snapped the Jazz’s two-game winning streak. They will attempt to avenge their loss by defeating the Cavaliers, which would be their third victory in their last four games.

The Jazz’s Collin Sexton (hamstring) is questionable for this game.

Sexton will be unable to face his former team because he is still recovering from a nagging hamstring injury suffered earlier this month. He’s set to miss his sixth game in a row, which should mean more playing time for Nickeil Alexander-Walker. His next opportunity to play will be against the Pistons on Tuesday.
