Will Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving PLAYINGvs. Bulls? Injury Report Mavericks

The Mavericks host the Bulls in a game that might decide the season for both teams. The Bulls beat the Mavericks 144-115 on December 10. Hence, the Mavericks may see this as a chance for payback.

Latest news on Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving’ injury status

The Dallas Mavericks will travel to the Chicago Bulls, who have already clinched a spot in the East’s play-in tournament, as they pursue the Western Conference’s final play-in berth.

The Chicago Bulls (38-42) clinched a play-in round spot last week, but losses to Atlanta on Tuesday and Milwaukee on Wednesday have locked them into the No. 10 seed. Chicago will travel to either Atlanta or Toronto to begin the play-in tournament.

Meanwhile, despite snapping a three-game losing streak on Wednesday, the Dallas Mavericks (38-42) remain hopeful of making the Western Conference play-in round.

The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Utah Jazz 114-98 in Salt Lake City on Thursday, putting the Mavericks on the verge of elimination. The Thunder (39-42) lead Dallas by a half-game, but the tiebreaker is in their favor.

The Mavs defeated the Sacramento Kings, one of the conference’s top teams, 123-119, thanks to 31 points from Kyrie Irving and 29 points and 10 rebounds from Luka Doncic.

Due to left thigh injury management, Luka Doncic is probable for this game.

Doncic’s thigh injury does not appear to be serious, and he is expected to play again Friday as the Mavericks compete for a spot in the Play-In Tournament.

He’s had six double-doubles in his last eight games, averaging 30.8 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 8.5 assists in 38.9 minutes per game.

If the Mavericks lose to the Chicago Bulls on Friday or the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, or if the Thunder beat the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday, Dallas’ hopes will be dashed.

Kyrie Irving (foot) is expected to play against the Bulls on Friday.

Irving is still dealing with a nagging foot injury, but he is not expected to miss Friday’s game.

With the Mavericks currently in 11th place in the Western Conference, just outside of the Play-In, their star guard will almost certainly be required to play in all of the team’s remaining games.
