On Friday, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Phoenix Suns 121-107 at home. It was the Lakers’ fifth win in six games.
D’Angelo Russell led the Lakers with 24 points, Austin Reaves had 22 points and five assists, and Anthony Davis had 14 points, 21 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks. On 6-of-19 shooting, LeBron James finished with 16 points and six assists.
According to Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com, Anthony Davis (foot) is questionable for Sunday.
Davis is back to his usual form, having started 11 straight games. He’s averaged 26.2 points, 12.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.7 blocks, and 1.0 steals in 35.9 minutes.
LeBron James (foot) is questionable for this game, according to Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com.
James’ status is unknown, but he has appeared in seven consecutive games, averaging 23.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 6.1 assists in 32.0 minutes. As the regular season comes to a close, the Lakers’ seeding remains uncertain.
D’Angelo Russell (foot) is listed as probable for Sunday’s game against the Jazz due to left foot soreness.
Russell has been dealing with a lingering foot injury, but he has been listed as probable for the final game of the regular season. Since joining the Lakers before the trade deadline, he has averaged 17.4 points and 6.1 assists per game.
Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz defeated the Western Conference-leading Denver Nuggets 118-114 on Saturday.
The Jazz won for the second time in ten games, snapping a four-game losing streak.
Lauri Markkanen (hand) did not play against the Nuggets on Saturday, and with the Jazz out of contention for the playoffs, it would be surprising to see him suit up against the Lakers today.
During his first season with Utah, the 2017 first-round pick had a breakout season, scoring a career-high 25.6 points in 66 games.
