SUMMARY

1.Lamar Jackson

UPDATE (DEC. 24): Jackson (knee) has been ruled out of Saturday’s game against the Falcons by the Ravens.

Jackson (knee) did not participate in practice on Tuesday.

Jackson is recovering from a PCL sprain and could miss his third consecutive game when the Ravens host the Falcons on Saturday.

There may be a bit more urgency following Tyler Huntley’s brutal performance in Cleveland this past Saturday, but Jackson doesn’t appear to be in a position to force tough decisions, at least not this early in the week. A return to practice on Wednesday or Thursday could make things more interesting.

2.Kyler Murray

Murray is believed to have suffered a “clean” ACL tear in Monday’s 27-13 loss to the Patriots and is set to undergo surgery, as well as another procedure to repair the meniscus in his left knee, between Christmas and New Year’s Day, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

3.Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts (shoulder) was listed as a non-participant on Tuesday’s estimated injury report.

The Eagles held a walkthrough to begin Week 16 prep, but Hurts wouldn’t have practiced Tuesday if the team had held any sort of session as he tends to a sprained right shoulder that he sustained Sunday at Chicago.

4.Dameon Pierce

According to Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle, the Texans placed Pierce (ankle) on injured reserve on Saturday.

Pierce suffered a high-ankle sprain last Sunday against Dallas, and while it was initially thought that he’d be out for only one to two weeks, the tide has turned, and he’ll now miss the final four games of the season.
