  • Joe Mixon

UPDATE 2: According to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor confirmed Thursday that Mixon cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol last week. Mixon is on track to return to the field this Sunday against the Browns after fully practicing on Wednesday.

UPDATE: Mixon (concussion) was listed as a full practice participant on Wednesday.

Joe Mixon is still in the concussion protocol. The Bengals, according to Zac Taylor, are taking it one day at a time.

While Joe Mixon will begin the week listed as limited with a concussion on the Cincinnati Bengals injury report, this should be a procedural situation in Week 13.

Mixon will practice on Wednesday, according to Zac Taylor. He also stated that Mixon must have a full practice before being cleared of the concussion protocol.

  • Leonard Fournette

UPDATE 2: Fournette (foot) is expected to play against the 49ers on Sunday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

UPDATE: In the Buccaneers’ 17-16 win over the Saints on Monday night, Fournette (hip) rushed 10 times for 49 yards and caught six of seven targets for 32 yards.

Fournette was expected to practice as he recovers from a hip injury, but it was unclear in what capacity.

Fournette was limited all week last week, labeled as doubtful, and then ruled out on Saturday. However, the running back began Week 13 as a full participant in practice.

With rookie RB Rachaad White emerging in recent weeks, it is unclear what role Fournette will play if he does suit up.

  • Cam Akers

UPDATE 2: Akers rushed 12 times for 42 yards and a touchdown while bringing in his only target for one yard in the Rams’ 17-16 win over the Raiders on Thursday night. He also lost a fumble.

UPDATE: In the Seahawks’ 27-23 loss on Sunday, Akers carried the ball 17 times for 60 yards and two touchdowns. He also connected on his lone target for 0 yards.

Cam Akers was one of a few players across the league who missed practice due to illness to begin Week 13. Normally, a Wednesday illness designation does not result in anything significant.

This is one to keep an eye on in the coming days because the impact on fantasy value could be enormous. If Akers is out or limited this week, Kyren Williams becomes an extremely appealing fantasy option.

If Akers is unavailable, Ronnie Rivers will most likely fill in on the field.

  • Jerick McKinnon

UPDATE 2: McKinnon carried the ball eight times for 51 yards and caught both his targets for nine yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s 27-24 loss to the Bengals.

UPDATE: On Friday, McKinnon was a full participant and was removed from the injury report.

Jerick McKinnon has been dealing with a number of injuries in recent weeks, but this hamstring problem may be the most serious.
