The timeline @1067theFan has heard on Wentz, who will see another doctor on Monday, is that his recovery could be as much as six weeks. They'll know more on Monday.
Taylor Heinicke would be the next man up.

Update: Up to six weeks recovery time?
During the Washington Commanders’ win over the Chicago Bears on Thursday night, starting quarterback Carson Wentz suffered a fractured ring finger on his throwing hand. Wentz was throwing a pass in the first half when his throwing hand collided with Bears defensive tackle Justin Jones’ hand as he released the ball. Wentz was clearly in pain after the injury, shaking his hand and putting it in his hand warmer when he wasn’t playing.
According to NFL Network, Wentz has been injured and is flying to Los Angeles to see a hand specialist. They also stated that his future availability is uncertain.
Washington has a bye week following its appearance on Thursday Night Football this week. They play the Green Bay Packers in eight days, and we should know if Wentz is likely to play by Wednesday, when the first injury report is released.
If he misses time due to the injury, Taylor Heinicke will likely start, with 5th round rookie Sam Howell filling in.
A Day 2 pick in 2023 is part of the Carson Wentz trade with the Indianapolis Colts.
If Wentz plays more than 70% of Washington’s snaps this season, the Colts will receive Washington’s second-round pick; if he plays less, the Colts will receive Washington’s third-round pick. If the team finishes the season as it has begun, that could be a very strong second place. This may have an impact on future decisions regarding injuries/surgeries.
The pain was evident for Carson Wentz throughout the game, as he kept his hand covered whenever possible and was spotted trying to loosen it up or make it feel better. Somehow, he finished the game with a fractured finger. https://t.co/XvClFi5370
