TJ Hockenson does not appear to be upset about leaving the Detroit Lions for the Minnesota Vikings.
TJ Hockenson made comments directed at the Lions
Before, the Lions traded Hockenson to the Vikings for draft picks on Tuesday, letting go of the former top ten pick.
Hockenson spoke to the Minnesota media on Wednesday and made a pointed remark about what he was leaving behind in Detroit.
T.J. Hockenson on going from Lions to Vikings: "That’s really what we’re here to do is go somewhere and win some games. That’s kind of the first time I’ve been able to say that."

The Vikings are 6-1 and leading the NFC North. Hockenson appears to have transformed one of the league’s worst franchises into a playoff contender, so it’s hard to blame him for being pleased.
Hockenson said.: “That’s really what we’re here to do is go somewhere and win some games. That’s kind of the first time I’ve been able to say that.”

Even though the line is harsh, few Lions fans would disagree with the sentiment. Since Hockenson’s arrival in the league in 2019, the team’s record has been 12-32-2, including a 1-6 start in 2022.
The tight end cannot be blamed for this, as he has been the team’s leading receiver in 2022, with 395 yards and three touchdowns.
