Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles have been one of the featured stories of the NFL season after winning their first nine games in convincing fashion.

Jalen Hurts has emerged as an MVP candidate this season, capable of both running and throwing the ball.

With a 9-1 record, the Eagles are unsurprisingly at or near the top of several categories this season.

The Eagles have the fourth-highest scoring offense in the NFL. They have the sixth-best rushing attack in the league and the league’s 12th-best passing attack.

The Eagles have been aggressive while also leading the NFL in turnover differential. The Eagles also have the league’s sixth best scoring defense.

The team’s run defense is ranked 19th, and its pass defense is ranked second. In terms of penalties per game, Philadelphia ranks 13th in the NFL.

The Eagles appear to be healthy heading into this game, with only CB Josh Jobe (hamstring) limited in practice.

Injury Update

Only CB Josh Jobe (hamstring) has been limited in practice for the Eagles ahead of this game.

  • About Romeo Doubs

Doubs has yet to participate in any recorded practice activity since suffering a right high-ankle sprain in the Lions’ Nov. 6 loss, and he will now miss his third straight game.

According to Kassidy Hill of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Doubs appeared to make some progress Thursday when he was spotted working out with a group of other Packers players who were injured.

While Doubs’ presence at Thursday’s session was encouraging, he’ll still need to put together a string of full or limited practice sessions next week to have a legitimate shot at playing in the Packers’ game against the Bears on December 4.

Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers are unaccustomed to being in this position following Thanksgiving. With a 4-7 record, the team is out of the playoff picture and trailing the NFC North-leading Minnesota Vikings.

The Packers knew they had their work cut out for them this season after trading away all-pro wide receiver Davante Adams in the offseason.

They had not anticipated the transition being so difficult. Green Bay is the NFL’s 26th best scoring defense.

Despite having future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers on the team, they rank 14th in rushing and 19th in passing.

Furthermore, the Packers rank 27th in turnover differential and 20th in penalties, both of which are uncharacteristic. This season, the Packers’ defense has also not been as strong as it should have been.

They are ranked 16th in scoring defense this season. The team ranks 25th against the run, which could be a major issue against the Eagles’ run-heavy offense. They have improved their pass defense, ranking fourth in the NFL.

Key Injuries

Rodgers (thumb) has admitted publicly that he is playing with a broken thumb.

In addition, LB De’Vondre Campbell (knee) is still out, and several Packers players, including TE Robert Tonyan, have the flu.
