Superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo’s serious injury will worry Bucks fans

Giannis Antetokounmpo only played one play in the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday. The Milwaukee Bucks star is still dealing with a painful wrist injury.

The latest news about Giannis Antetokounmpo’s injuries

Reports say that Giannis will get more tests on his wrist, which is likely to put him in a tough spot as the Bucks head into the second half of the season.

Brian Windhorst, an insider in the NBA, told ESPN that the injury doesn’t seem to be serious enough to end the season. At this point, Antetokounmpo will have to make a big choice:

“Giannis is flying to New York today to get this injury and some imaging that he had done after that fall last week in Chicago checked out,” Windhorst said.

“I don’t think there’s a fear that this is going to be an injury that’s going to threaten his season, but there may be one of these situations that we often see where a player might have to decide whether to play through an injury or to give the injury rest. So we’re in a little bit of a grey zone right now.”

Windhorst said that there is a big chance Giannis will hurt his wrist again if he continues to play. The ESPN analyst also said that the Bucks are on a hot streak right now and are still second in the East, so they could get by without their star player for a while.

But there’s no doubt that the Bucks will need Giannis Antetokounmpo to be healthy as the playoffs approach and, of course, during the playoffs themselves.

Depending on how he and the Bucks handle this injury, it could have a big effect on the rest of their season.
