A foot injury has kept Payne out of action since December 13; his return is currently in doubt.

Without their two best players due to injuries, Brooklyn dropped another game, this time in San Antonio.
They were in a tie for fourth place in the East, five games behind first-place Boston but four games ahead of seventh-place Miami.
The Warriors are led by Kevin Durant, who averages 29.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game. Kyrie Irving (25.6 ppg, 4.8 apg), Nic Claxton (12 ppg, 8.5 rpg), and Royce O’Neale (10.0 ppg, 6.0 rpg) are also solid scoring options (9.3 points).
After spraining his MCL on January 8 against the Heat, Kevin Durant is expected to take a month off to heal. Irving (calf) was a late scratch against San Antonio on January 17, so any news on his availability should be closely monitored.
According to Christian Arnold of the AP, Kyrie Irving (calf) is listed as probable for Thursday’s game against the Suns.
