Updates Injury Status for Ja Morant and Nikola Jokic
When it comes to the Western Conference, the Denver Nuggets have been the best team this year. They are 6 games ahead of the second-place Memphis Grizzlies, who have a record of 42-18.
The team’s success can be attributed to two things: their health and the presence of two-time MVP Nikola Jokic. Jokic was, well, Jokic in Thursday’s 115-109 victory over the Cavaliers in Cleveland. He put up 24 points, pulled down 18 boards, and dished out 13 assists.
When the regular season resumed, Jokic was still as dominant as ever. In his last six games, he has recorded four triple-doubles, and in his last 10, he has recorded seven.
The back-to-back MVP winner is having another great season. He has played well in February, averaging 22.5 points, 14.4 rebounds, and 11.1 assists over eight games.

With a 35-23 record, the Grizzlies are in second place in the Western Conference, behind the Nuggets by a significant six games.
The reborn Suns are just one of many teams closing the gap on them. It is true that the Grizzlies haven’t been performing well as of late.
Ja Most recently, on Thursday, they lost 110-105 in Philadelphia to the 76ers, making it 11 losses in their last 14 games.
Morant finished with 15 points (3-16 FG, 0-2 3P, 9-10 FT), 3 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals in 32 minutes of action.
Even though Morant’s Thursday performance was terrible from the jump, he salvaged some of it by making 10 of 11 free throw attempts. For the most part of the game, Memphis’s lead made up for his poor shooting. Morant had a bad night, and it got worse when the Sixers staged a furious comeback and won in the final seconds.
He’s prepared for this game, and I’m rooting for him to improve his stats.
