NBA Trade Rumors: The Major Trade Rumors Before Tomorrow’s Deadline

The trade deadline is rapidly approaching, and a number of extremely surprising deals have already been made. Now, let’s hear some of the speculation about the ones that haven’t happened yet.

What to Believe About Tomorrow’s Trade Deadline?

  • Derrick Rose – New York Knicks

According to Mark Stein, the Bucks are considering a trade for Derrick Rose, the point guard for the Knicks. It’s been reported that the Knicks are looking to trade for the veteran, and whoever acquires him will likely put him on the buyout market.

Rose, who is 34 years old, has been with the Knicks for nearly three seasons. He has played in 26 games so far, averaging 5.8 points per contest.

The Clippers are reportedly trying to trade John Wall before the trade deadline on Thursday, but if no deal is made, the team will likely buy out the former All-Star.

“Should Russell Westbrook secure a buyout from the Utah Jazz after the three-team trade is complete, the Los Angeles Clippers are said to have interest in the star guard,”

After sitting out all of last year with Houston, Wall signed a one-year deal with the Clippers. This Rockets contract was also terminated via buyout at the end of the season.

  • Matisse Thybulle – Philadelphia 76ers

There have been multiple inquiries about Matisse Thybulle from nearly half of NBA teams this season, including the Hawks, Pacers, Blazers, Bucks, Mavericks, and others.

“Philly is already into next year’s tax thanks to Joel Embiid’s extension kicking in and may need a bigger bag for James Harden if he opts out of his $35.6 million as expected,” The Athletic’s John Hollinger wrote.

“Paying Thybulle in that environment seems unlikely, but he could probably return two second-round picks, a small trade exception, and a sidestepped tax bill this week.”

  • Nerlens Noel – Detroit Pistons

Philadelphia and Miami are both interested in acquiring Noel, the Pistons’ best trade chip.

And there appears to be little no doubt that the Sixers are looking for frontcourt help. Interestingly, Noel’s career began with Philadelphia back in 2013.
