Mavericks vs. Warriors Injuries: Stephen Curry, Luka Doncic and Draymond Green playing tonight?

On Saturday, a big game in the NBA is between two teams from the Western Conference. At Chase Center, the Golden State Warriors play the Dallas Mavericks.

The Warriors have a home record of 19–6. Overall, Golden State is 26–26, while Dallas is 28–25 and has won three of its last four games.

Injury Reports Golden State Warriors – Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks are without Luka Doncic (heel), Maxi Kleber (hamstring), Christian Wood (thumb), and Davis Bertans (calf). Spencer Dinwiddie (calf) is doubtful.

Luka Doncic (heel) will miss Saturday’s game against the Warriors, according to Callie Caplan of The Dallas Morning News. Doncic, however, may be able to make his return to action during the team’s five-game road trip.

Mavericks star will not make the trip to the West Coast to begin the series, so he will miss at least Saturday’s game and possibly more. Reports of Doncic’s participation in the team’s west coast swing could herald his return to the court. At this point, Monday is the earliest that can happen in Utah.

Short-term, Reggie Bullock, Frank Ntilikina, and Josh Green will see increased playing time as backups to Spencer Dinwiddie at point guard.

Doncic (heel) did not participate in Friday’s practice after leaving Thursday’s win over the Pelicans with a bruised right heel and returning later in the game. While attempting a layup, Doncic was unexpectedly thrown off his stride. He fell heel-first, then hip-first to the floor. Mavericks star appeared very troubled.

In just 23 minutes of action, he scored 31 points (12-19 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 5-8 FT), pulled down eight rebounds, dished out four assists, swiped two bases, and scored two runs.

Coach Jason Kidd is unsure of Doncic’s availability for Saturday’s matchup with the Warriors. The injury to the 23-year-old is not considered to be life-threatening, but the length of time he will miss from work is still unknown.

The Warriors are missing Draymond Green (calf), Klay Thompson (illness), and Patrick Baldwin Jr. (illness). Stephen Curry (leg) is listed as probable.

Curry is questionable to play on Saturday against the Mavericks due to a lower left leg contusion.

Although Curry has been listed as questionable in the past due to a shoulder injury, this is the first time that his lower leg has been mentioned as a possible source of trouble. Curry will be available to start at point guard for the Warriors on Saturday, as the injury appears to be minor.

Green’s right calf was bothering him, and he was eventually ruled out of Thursday’s game against the Nuggets. His ability to play this Saturday will be determined by how much pain he is still experiencing from the injury. If Green is taken off the field, Jonathan Kuminga could be called upon to play a bigger part.

With Draymond Green (calf) and Stephen Curry (lower leg) out, the Warriors could turn to a number of their bench players.

Klay Thompson’s status for Saturday’s game against Dallas is in doubt.

Thompson, who sat out Thursday’s game against Denver to rest his injured right Achilles tendon, is now battling an illness that may force him to sit out for a second straight game.
