When playing against Hawks, Luka Doncic had 30 points, four rebounds, and eight assists in 39 minutes. He made 9 of 19 shots from the field and 2 of 8 from long range. This was the first time in Doncic’s career that he had scored 30 points against Atlanta.

Aside from Doncic, three other Mavericks scored more than 10 points. Christian Wood, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Reggie Bullock each had 22, 20, and 18 points. Green scored nine points off the bench in his first game back after 20 games away. He made all three of his shots.

Christian Wood sustained a fractured left thumb in the second quarter of Wednesday’s game against Atlanta and will be re-evaluated next week.

Wood had been especially productive for the Mavericks over the last few weeks, as he posted double-doubles in four of his last seven appearances and averaged 21.1 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 35.0 minutes per game.

A better idea of his return timetable could come into focus once he’s re-evaluated, but Dwight Powell, Davis Bertans and JaVale McGee are candidates to see increased run in Wood’s absence.
