Lily Rose Depp bares all for racy photo shoot, discusses upcoming role in The Idol drama

In a very racy photoshoot, Lily Rose Depp strips down to a sheer dress and displays her assets, announcing her role in the upcoming drama The Idol.

Lily Rose Depp stripped down for the spring issue of i-D magazine, marking her most provocative photoshoot to date

The 23-year-old daughter of Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp posed for a series of racy photographs by Karim Sadli, looking absolutely stunning.

Lily’s newfound self-assurance can be attributed in part to her breakout role as a troubled pop star with mental health issues on a mission to reclaim her title as America’s sexiest pop star in the racy new drama The Idol.

The French-American actress who plays opposite The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) in the drama said she felt “free and liberated” thanks to her racy role.

She stated to the publication, ‘Talk about trust and comfort. I had to go to a lot of really vulnerable places in the show.’

‘Abel was the best partner that I could have ever asked for,’ she continued.’ He has my back and I have his. I just felt so free and liberated, so empowered.’

Lily certainly exuded a sense of freedom in her provocative cover shoot, where she wore only a pair of briefs to cover up her assets.

In another stunning photo, she wore nothing but an oversized leather coat and chunky boots while baring her breasts.

The Chanel brand ambassador also said she was “careful” about the nepotism issue.

Lily also discussed the paranoia and imposter syndrome she experienced as a child star.

‘You just have to jump in and have some kind of faith that, if they’ve chosen me, then hopefully I’ve been chosen for a reason. That’s all that you can do.

‘By that same token, I think that there’s nothing more exciting than being like, “Wow, I’m so nervous. I feel so challenged by this. How on earth am I going to pull this off?” You could ask for no better fuel to make you want to work really, really hard.’

The stunning Chanel ambassador elaborated on the concept of using fear as motivation, saying: ‘If you’re not scared, then what’s the point? I like the fear a little bit.’

In addition, Lily addressed the nepo baby debate, an issue that has long irritated her.

‘I’m so careful about these conversations now,’ she said. ‘I feel like my parents did the best job that they possibly could at giving me the most “normal childhood” that they could. And obviously, that still was not a normal childhood.’

To elaborate on her privileged position, Lily said: ‘I’m super aware of the fact that my childhood did not look like everybody’s. But at the same time, it’s all that I know, so I have had to find comfort in it somehow.

‘I’m really lucky that I’ve been surrounded by people who value normalcy and who value real life and I think that’s the only way to exist in this world and not go insane.’

Growing up as the daughter of two enormously famous stars has left Lily with anxiety and paranoia.

‘I can’t smoke weed unless I’m in my room,’ she revealed. ‘It f**ks with my head. I overthink, like, if I leave my house and I look like shit and someone takes a photo, is it going to be, “She looks like hell, she must be depressed?” People are so quick to want to be like, “You’re doing badly.” ‘

Lilly copes by reminding herself that ‘everybody cares more about themselves’ and tries to come ‘back down to earth.’

‘At the end of the day, everybody cares more about themselves than they do you,’ she said. ‘I bring myself back down to earth and go, ‘Girl, you don’t matter that much.” That’s the only way to deal with it.’

The young actress is cognizant of her good fortune, however: ‘…I am privileged enough to get to do the job that I’m so passionate about.

‘There’s good and bad sides to everything,’ she added. ‘If I have to deal with a little bit of anxiety to keep doing what I love, then I’m ready.’
