James Harden (born August 26, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for the National Basketball Association’s Philadelphia 76ers (NBA). Harden is widely regarded as one of the best scorers in NBA history, as well as one of the best shooting guards of all time.
What injuries did James Harden suffer?
Injury status: Active
UPDATE (Dec. 21): James Harden had 14 points (5-14 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, eight assists, and one steal in 42 minutes against the Raptors on Monday.
Harden struggled with his shot and scored his fewest points since Oct. 28, but he salvaged his fantasy production with solid assist and rebound contributions.
Harden has averaged 21.7 points, 11.2 assists, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.7 steals in 39.5 minutes per game in six appearances since returning from a month-long absence due to a foot injury.
UPDATE: James Harden (foot) stated on Thursday that he is on track with his recovery.
Harden suffered a right foot tendon strain in early November and was expected to miss about a month, but he’s making good progress two weeks later.
The 33-year-old has gotten rid of his walking boot and has recently done some treadmill work and a shooting drill. Harden will still need to increase his activity level and regain his conditioning, but he’s been on the right track in the first few weeks of his recovery.

Doc Rivers discussed how Embiid and Harden are recovering from injuries ahead of Friday’s game against the Magic.
“I know they’re both on the floor at the practice facility doing work, but there’s no update as far as a return or anything like that.”
Without Embiid, Maxey, and Harden, even a game against the lowly Orlando Magic looked intimidating.
Harden’s return would be ideal in those circumstances. Philadelphia will also face the Hornets, Pistons, Kings, and Lakers during that time. Despite having a bottom-four defense this season, the Kings are the most frightening of the bunch.
