The Lakers had a good run of games from the middle of November to the start of December, but the rest of the season has been terrible. Nine of the Lakers’ last 13 games have ended in losses, including five of the last six.

LeBron James is questionable for Friday’s game against the Hawks due to left ankle soreness, according to Harrison Faigen of SBNation.com. James has participated in the Lakers’ last five games despite a bothersome ankle injury.

Anthony Davis, meanwhile, will be out indefinitely with a stress fracture in his right foot.

The Hawks had a 7-3 record through their first 10 games of the season, but they were unable to continue their impressive run. Since early November, the Hawks have not won more than two games in a row, posting a 25-game record of 10-15. They entered this game having lost three of their previous four games.

Leading scorer Trae Young, leading rebounder Clint Capela, and small forward De’Andre Hunter were all out for the Hawks due to injuries (ankle).

After missing one game, Trae Young is expected to play on Friday. Prior to missing Wednesday’s game, the star guard had been averaging 30.0 points and 10.2 assists over his previous five games.
