Update on Ja Morant and Devin Booker’ injury status

Injury Reports Grizzlies - Suns

After snapping a seven-game winning streak with a 115-109 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday, the Memphis Grizzlies remained on the losing track on Tuesday night, falling 105-91 to the Denver Nuggets.

Ja Morant finished the game with 35 points and ten assists, while the rest of the team struggled. Dillon Brooks added 11 points, seven boards, and three steals to Jaren Jackson Jr.’s eight points, five blocks, and two rebounds.

Desmon Bane (toe) is questionable for Friday’s game against Phoenix.

Bane was supposed to be out for three to four weeks starting December 7, putting his possible return Friday at the tail end of the schedule. Although his questionable status is encouraging, Bane’s return to the court should be limited due to the nature of the injury and his nearly six-week absence.

If he returns, Dillon Brooks, John Konchar, David Roddy, and Ziaire Williams’ chances would suffer.

The Phoenix Suns ended their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. The Suns lost 113-110 to the Washington Wizards after beating the Los Angeles Clippers 111-95, New Orleans Pelicans 118-114, and Los Angeles Lakers 130-104.

Devin Booker (groin) and Cameron Payne (foot) will both miss the Grizzlies’ game on Friday.

Due to a strained right foot, Payne will miss his fifth consecutive game. His next chance to play will be on Christmas Day against the Nuggets.

Booker will miss his third game in a row due to groin pain. Damion Lee has taken his place in the starting lineup in his absence. Booker’s next game will be on Christmas Day against the Nuggets.
