There is an interconference game taking place on the parquet floor close to the Lake Erie shoreline. Traveling to Cleveland to play the Cavaliers on Saturday night is the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Injury Reports Donovan Mitchell and Chet Holmgren
The Thunder average 116.4 points per game on the year, which ranks them 6th in the league in scoring offense. With 44.9 rebounds per game, Oklahoma City is ranked eighth in this category. However, with 24.2 assists per game, they are ranked eighteenth. The Thunder allow an average of 117.9 points per game, which ranks them 29th in the league.
Chet Holmgren, the second-overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft, will miss the season after suffering a Lisfranc injury this past summer while competing in a pro-am event.
Williams (knee) and Dort (knee) were both unable to participate in Wednesday’s game against Memphis. Keep an eye out for updates on their conditions as they are day-to-day.
The Cavaliers are currently playing the second game of a back-to-back set after playing Sacramento at home on Friday night.
Donovan Mitchell (lower leg) wasn’t sure about playing on Saturday night.
The Cavaliers are without one of their main scoring threats because of Mitchell’s absence. Mitchell will be replaced by Caris LeVert in Cleveland’s starting lineup, with Isaac Okoro and Cedi Osman possibly earning more playing time.
The injury-prone guard Dylan Windler is out until at least mid- to late-December because of an ankle injury, but he still wants to contribute at this level.
Due to a sprained right ankle, Dylan Windler has not yet played in a game this season. His return timetable of 4-6 weeks beginning on November 16 seems to take longer than anticipated.
Wade (shoulder) suffered an injury on December 2 against Orlando and is anticipated to be sidelined until late December or early January.
Ricky Rubio (knee) is still recovering from surgery and has no set date when he will return.
