Injury Update Hawks – Heat: Is Trae Young, Tyler Herro playing tonight?

The Atlanta Hawks will take on the Miami Heat in Miami, Florida this coming Saturday. The puck drops at the Miami-Dade Arena at 8:00 p.m. EDT. This is the third meeting between these two teams during the regular season. The Hawks prevailed in the previous matchup, 121-113.

Latest update injury status for Trae Young and Tyler Herro

The Miami Heat are currently 7th in the Eastern Conference, 12.5 games behind the first-place Milwaukee Bucks.

On offense, they score an average of 107.8 points per game and have made 45% of their shots. This is the second-lowest amount of points scored per game and the second-lowest percentage of shots made by a team.

The best offensive player on the court is still Jimmy Butler. He averages 21.8 points per game and hits 52% of his field goals. Check to see if anyone was hurt, though. He hurt his knee and doesn’t know if he can play.

Miami has also shown that they do much better when they go for the basket. They have only made 33.2% of their shots from beyond the arc, which is the 28th-worst percentage in the league. They’ve been lucky in that 82.6% of their shots from the free throw line have gone in.

This is the second-best free-throw shooting percentage in the NBA, because they can’t miss these free points and still win games.

Tyler Herro had 29 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and one steal in 39 minutes of Friday’s 122-120 loss to the Knicks. He made 11 of 18 field goals, 5 of 8 three-point shots, and 2 of 2 free throws.

Herro had been due for a good game, since he had only scored 19 points in his last two. Kyle Lowry’s knee problem has kept him out of 11 games so far, so we can expect Herro to keep making up for Lowry’s lack of playmaking.

Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports that Lowry (knee) will not be able to play against the Hawks on Saturday. This was said by Hawks coach Erik Spoelstra on Friday.

Lowry will not play for the Heat on Friday or Saturday because his left knee hurts. Gabe Vincent should stay in the starting lineup even though he won’t be there. Lowry hasn’t played since Feb. 2, but Monday’s game against Atlanta will be his next chance to suit up.

The Atlanta Hawks are 14 games behind the Milwaukee Bucks and are currently in eighth place in the Eastern Conference. On offense, they score an average of 116.9 points per game and have made 47.9% of their shots from the floor. This is the eighth most points scored per game and the eleventh best shooting percentage. dunksandthrees.com says that the Hawks have the 12th best adjusted offensive rating in the NBA.

Trae Young is still the best offensive player because he scores 27.1 points per game and makes 42.9% of his shots from the floor.

Trae Young had some problems with his groin before Friday’s game, but it looks like he’ll be fine for today’s game.

He has scored more than 30 points in each of his last three games, averaging 33 points, 8 assists, 2.7 rebounds, 1 steal, and 33.3 minutes on the court.
