Otto Porter Jr. could make his Toronto Raptors surprise appearance on Wednesday night when the team travels to San Antonio to face the Spurs.

Both he and Fred VanVleet are listed as doubtful to play. Porter had been dealing with a hamstring injury before a personal issue forced him to miss the last two games. Meanwhile, VanVleet is suffering from lower back stiffness.

If neither player is able to return on Wednesday, neither is expected to be out for long. Raptors head coach Nick Nurse was unconcerned about VanVleet’s injury.

He stated that it manifested itself during Friday’s loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, and that he was unable to practice on Sunday.

It’s unclear when Porter will return, but his dubious tag suggests he shouldn’t be too far away. He may need some time to warm up and regain his conditioning before returning to the court.

If VanVleet is unable to travel, Christian Koloko will take his place. Nurse has decided to keep his bench unit with Precious Achiuwa and Chris Boucher. Scottie Barnes will most likely take on more point guard duties again.
