FOR THE CELTICS

The Boston Celtics trailed the Philadelphia 76ers 3-2 in their second round series, and it didn’t seem good after getting roasted at home in game 5.

It took an amazing 16-point fourth quarter by Jayson Tatum to leave Philadelphia with a win in game 6, and Tatum’s dominance continued into game 7 on Sunday.

Tatum had the greatest game 7 of all time, scoring 51 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in the Celtics’ 112-88 victory.

“It’s a large film. Being able to just sit back, eat your popcorn, and watch, sometimes we get into that mentality where we forget we’re on the court with him and we have to keep playing, because he’s capable of making difficult shots and getting hot like he did tonight. It’s a lovely sight to see.”

Smart only had 7 points but was a +31, trailing only Tatum. With Boston, Jaylon Brown had 25 points and 6 rebounds.

FOR THE HEAT

The Miami Heat took a couple days off after winning the six-game series against the New York Knicks last Friday, 96-92.

The rest will be beneficial because the Heat have several veterans who could benefit from it, including Kyle Lowry, Jimmy Butler, and Kevin Love.

The Heat, on the other hand, did it without two crucial players, Victor Oladipo and Tyler Herro, both of whom were injured during the playoffs.

This will make their path to the finals much more difficult.

Jimmy Butler has been on a tear, thanks in large part to Bam Adebayo. Love and Lowry, as well as secondary players like Caleb Martin, Gabe Vincent, and Max Strus, have been essential components for Miami.
