Injury Reports Mavericks - Timberwolves

Today’s NBA game:

The Mavericks have yet to find a consistent winning level this season, as they fell back to.500 with an overtime loss to Cleveland on Saturday. The Mavericks have lost four of their last six games after a three-game winning streak against the Knicks, Suns, and Nuggets earlier this month. The term “independent” refers to a person who does not work for the government.

Luka Doncic (quadriceps) is questionable for Monday’s game against the Timberwolves.

Doncic did not play on Saturday due to a right quad strain, but he could return on Monday. Davis Bertans (illness), Tim Hardaway (illness), and Dwight Powell (thigh) are all questionable, but Spencer Dinwiddie (rest) is expected to return.

Dwight Powell (thigh) is doubtful for Monday’s game against the Timberwolves.

Powell missed Saturday’s game due to a thigh contusion sustained in Friday’s win over Portland. Davis Bertans (illness) is also questionable, and Maxi Kleber (hamstring) has been ruled out, so Dallas’ frontcourt could be severely depleted once more.

The Timberwolves has alternated between red-hot and ice-cold. In early November, the Timberwolves lost six of their first seven games before winning five straight. They went on to lose seven of their next ten games before recovering with a two-game winning streak.

Timberwolves coach Chris Finch said Friday that Taurean Prince (shoulder) is “at least a week away, maybe a little bit longer,” according to Dane Moore of BringMeTheNews.com.

Minnesota has seven games in the next 11 days, so based on Finch’s words, it appears the head coach is targeting Wednesday, Dec. 21 as a possible return date for Prince.

McLaughlin (calf) will be out against the Mavericks on Monday.

McLaughlin will miss his fifth consecutive game, and the former USC product has only played three games since Nov. 21, with two stints on the bench in between. It’s unclear whether he’ll be able to play in the second half of today’s back-to-back against the Mavericks, but it wouldn’t be surprising if he misses this game as well.
