Anthony Davis Injury Reports Lakers - Kings

The Los Angeles Lakers fell to 13-17 SU and 12-17-1 ATS after a 130-104 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Monday.

At halftime, the Lakers were down by 24 points due to injuries. LeBron James (ankle), Anthony Davis (foot), and Russell Westbrook all missed the game due to injuries (foot)

Both James and Westbrook are expected to return to the starting lineup on Wednesday, but Davis is expected to be out for several weeks.

LeBron James (ankle) is expected to play against Sacramento on Wednesday, according to Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com.

Barring any major setbacks before Wednesday’s tipoff, James appears ready to return to action after missing Monday’s loss to the Suns due to a left ankle injury. The forward has averaged 30.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 6.6 assists over his last five games.

Davis suffered a foot injury in Friday’s 126-108 thrashing of the Denver Nuggets, and in his last seven games, he’s averaged 30.3 points and 10.4 rebounds.

Davis left the first half of Friday’s game with an injury and was already ruled out for Sunday’s game against Washington, but the superstar big man will now be out for at least a month.

His impending absence is a huge blow to Los Angeles, as Davis was playing at an all-NBA level and had been relatively healthy thus far, missing only three of the season’s first 28 games.

In his absence, Thomas Bryant and Damian Jones are likely to see increased minutes, but the Lakers will continue to rely heavily on LeBron James and Russell Westbrook.
