Both of the Philadelphia 76ers’ starting guards may be out for Monday’s game against the Indiana Pacers. This is due to the team’s recent victory, which may be the biggest of the year.
After leaving Saturday’s thrilling 133-130 win over the first-place Milwaukee Bucks with injuries, Tobias Harris (sore left calf) and P.J. Tucker (back spasms) may not be able to play.
Milwaukee’s 16-game winning streak came to an end when Philadelphia rallied from an 18-point third-quarter deficit with 48 fourth-quarter points.
James Harden played all 39 minutes, scoring 38 points (11-26 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 11-11 FT), grabbing nine boards, dishing out 10 assists, and stealing one ball.
In terms of individual play, Harden’s performance on Saturday was his best of the year. Only five times this season has the prolific guard scored more than 30 points, and his double-double on Saturday was a personal best by three points.
The Sixers came back from a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Bucks and end their 16-game winning streak, led by Harden’s season-high 26 shot attempts and 11 made free throws.
While doing so, Joel Embiid contributed 31 points (11-22 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 6-10 FT), six boards, and ten dimes in 37 minutes of action.
With Embiid’s stellar performance, the Sixers ended Milwaukee’s winning streak at 16. The foot injury that forced him to miss a game last week didn’t seem to bother him either.
