Updates on Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson’ injury status for this game

Injuries Reports Celtics vs. Pelicans

The Pelicans have won their previous game, 132-112 over the Washington Wizards. They came ready to play on both ends of the court, knowing that they must maintain their efficiency if they hope to challenge Boston away from home.

Injury Report: Zion Williamson PF (Hamstring), Brandon Ingram SF (Toe), and E.J. Liddell SF (Knee) are out. Herbert Jones PF (Back) is questionable.

Willie Green, the head coach of the Pelicans, was quoted as saying that Brandon Ingram (toe) did not participate in Tuesday’s practice. Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune obtained this information.

Ingram had previously stated that he anticipated playing at some point during the Pelicans’ five-game road swing that began last Saturday in Dallas; however, he did not participate in the first two games of the swing and may not participate in the third game that will take place in Boston on Wednesday. If Ingram practices on Thursday, there is a chance that he will play on Friday in Detroit. Due to a sprained left big toe, it is likely that Ingram will be placed on a minutes restriction if he plays on either Friday or Monday in Cleveland.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports that Zion Williamson will likely be sidelined for a significant amount of time due to a hamstring injury.

Williamson had an MRI of his hamstring performed earlier in the day, and the results don’t appear to be in his favor, which is unfortunate. The star power forward has a history of lengthy injuries despite having only been in the league for three years, and he will now add another one to the list of his previous ailments. It seems likely that Naji Marshall will be the candidate who benefits the most from his absence.

Marcus Smart (PG, Knee) and Robert Williams (SG, Knee) are questionable for the Celtics.
