Injuries Pelicans - Pistons: Brandon Ingram

A toe injury has ruled out Brandon Ingram for Friday’s game against the Pistons, as reported by Jim Eichenhofer of the Pelicans’ official site.

Although the Pelicans had previously expressed hope that Ingram would be able to return to action during the team’s current five-game road trip, Ingram will not be able to play in the Pelicans’ game against the Cavaliers on Monday or the team’s home game against the Heat on Wednesday.

Since he hasn’t played in a game since November 25, he will probably be limited in playing time once he is given the green light to return.

Meanwhile, it has been reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that Zion Williamson has suffered a serious hamstring injury and will be out for a long time. His hamstring MRI didn’t come back looking good, so he’ll probably need surgery.

The star power forward, who has only been in the league for three years, has a history of long injuries and will now add another one to his list of previous ailments.
