Updates on LaMelo Ball and Draymond Green’ injury status

injury reports Warriors - Hornets

The Warriors defeated Memphis at home on Christmas in a game that was rather chippy as tensions between the teams continued to rise. The Warriors were 16-18 on the season and fourth in the Pacific Division, three games behind the Suns and Los Angeles Lakers for first place.

Stephen Curry (shoulder) was injured against the Pacers on December 14 and is expected to be out until early January.

Draymond Green was a late addition to the Warriors’ injury report, but the probable tag indicates he’s likely to play, especially since Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins are still out.

This season, Green is averaging 8.0 points, 6.8 assists, 6.3 rebounds, and 0.7 steals per game.

Andre Iguodala (hip) has yet to make his season debut and isn’t expected to return anytime soon. Andrew Wiggins (groin) last played on December 3 against the Rockets, but he hopes to play again within the next week. JaMychal Green has missed the last three games due to illness.

The Hornets were 9-24 on the season and sat in the bottom of the Southeast Division, eight games behind the Hawks for first place.

LaMelo Ball has been rock solid since returning from an extended injury absence, scoring no fewer than 23 points in the last six games. He’s also had double-digit assists in three of those six games.

Cody Martin will miss this game for the Hornets due to an injury. In November, he had knee surgery.

Smith Jr.’s (ankle) status is questionable. Meanwhile, Richards (ankle) was listed as questionable for this game after suffering an injury against the Lakers on December 23.
