The suddenly hot Orlando Magic play the host Atlanta Hawks on Monday night in their third game in four nights.

Injury Update for Trae Young and Dejounte Murray

Injury Reports Hawks - Magic

Today’s NBA matchup:

On Friday, the Atlanta Hawks defeated the Charlotte Hornets 125-106 in Charlotte. The victory was crucial for a Hawks team that had dropped below.500 after losing five of their previous six games.

Trae Young led the way with 31 points, while Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 28 points in his season debut, going 7-0f-10 from long range.

The Hawks’ victory was enhanced by the fact that they were missing three starters due to injury: Clint Capella, John Collins, and Dejounte Murray. Atlanta shot 52% from downtown, making 15 of 29 shots.

Dejounte Murray (ankle) is questionable to play against the Magic on Monday.

Murray has missed the last five games due to an ankle injury, but he is expected to return on Monday. Even if he is eventually sidelined again, the point guard appears to be on the mend. Aaron Holiday, Justin Holiday, and Vit Krejci are likely to see fewer minutes if he returns.

The Orlando Magic have now won six straight games, including two in a row against the NBA’s best team, the Boston Celtics. Orlando’s winning streak of six games is the team’s longest since the 2018-19 season. They’re also 3-11 on the road, with two straight losses in Boston.

Gary Harris (hamstring) will be out against the Hawks on Monday.

Harris is still dealing with hamstring pain and will miss his ninth straight game on Sunday as a result. He has yet to set a return date.

Meanwhile, Jalen Suggs (ankle) will miss Monday’s matchup with the Hawks.

Suggs will miss a 12th game due to a right ankle injury and remains without a timetable for return. Markelle Fultz and Cole Anthony will remain Orlando’s top ball handlers.
