On Saturday, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Brooklyn Nets will play each other. On Friday night, the 76ers beat the New York Knicks, and on Thursday, the Nets beat the Bulls at home. So far this season, the 76ers have won both games.
Latest news on Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons for 76ers vs. Nets game
Philadelphia has defeated the Nets twice this season in their home arena, with the most recent victory coming on January 25 by a score of 137-133.
Sixers superstar Joel Embiid scored 26 points despite missing the teams’ first meeting on November 22.
On Friday, he led the 76ers in scoring with 35 points, 13 of which came in the third quarter of their 119-108 home win over the Knicks.
The 76ers star has averaged 33.1 points per game in seven games since their last meeting. Embiid is expected to make his return from a foot injury this Saturday against the Nets.

Embiid’s status for Friday’s game has been changed from “questionable” to “available” due to his persistent foot injury. Last season’s starting center averaged 30.0 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.0 block in 34.2 minutes per game.
Philadelphia’s defense is hoping to build on its performance from Friday, when it allowed just 15 points in the final period.
A week’s worth of dramatic events has left the Brooklyn Nets with a drastically different roster than the one that counted on Kyrie Irving as its primary scorer until Kevin Durant’s return from injury.
The revamped squad looked good in their season opener, and they will likely get to see rookies Mikal Bridges and Cameron Johnson in action this coming Saturday against the Philadelphia 76ers at home.
Having missed five games with left knee soreness, Ben Simmons started and played 26 minutes on Tuesday. Instead, coach Jacque Vaughn will roll out the likes of Spencer Dinwiddie, Cam Thomas, Royce O’Neale, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Day’Ron Sharpe on Thursday. It’s not clear if Simmons will be subject to stricter restrictions, but this is something fantasy managers should keep an eye on.
