DeRozan has missed the last two games while recovering from a quad strain, and his availability for Sunday’s game is currently unknown. If he were to miss another game, Alex Caruso would almost certainly start in his place.
It’s true that the Golden State Warriors haven’t exactly set the world on fire so far this season, but they’ve also spent a significant portion of the year without their Steph Curry.
Warrors star Curry returned to the lineup and immediately made an impact. The Warriors beat the Spurs 144-113 on Friday night to end their three-game losing streak.
During his 23 minutes on the court, Stephen Curry scored 15 points (6-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), grabbed four boards, dished out three assists, and blocked a single shot.
With a 31-point victory over the Spurs, the Warriors were able to give Curry more rest time than usual. He’s been out for a while due to a shoulder injury, so this is welcome news.
Their new record is 21 wins and 21 losses. They are currently in a sixth-place tie in the Western Conference, eight games back of the first-place Nuggets.
