The Cavaliers will take on the Timberwolves in Minneapolis this coming Saturday. The first meeting between these two teams this season was won by the Timberwolves, 129-124, and this will be the second and final meetings between them.
Latest Injury Updates Cavaliers vs. Timberwolves game
After a 119-113 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, the Cleveland Cavaliers will enter this game with confidence. They’ll need to keep up their hot play on offense if they want to challenge the Timberwolves on the road.
In his three games back from a thumb sprain, Darius Garland has scored 20 or more points each time.
He played all 38 minutes of Tuesday’s 116-114 loss to Utah and finished with 21 points (8-18 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, and six assists. Garland shot 44.4 percent from the field and had his best rebounding performance since December 17 to help the team in a variety of ways.
Donovan Mitchell, meanwhile, has been on fire this month, averaging 39.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 7.0 assists, and 1.5 steals in his last four contests. I’m hoping that the aforementioned duo will be enough to win today’s game for the Cavaliers.
Injury Report: Dylan Windler SG (Ankle) and Dean Wade SF (Shoulder) are out.
Last time out, the Minnesota Timberwolves were defeated by the Detroit Pistons, 135-118. They struggled to stop the other team from scoring, and they’ll need to do a better job of that if they want to challenge the Cavaliers at home.
Injury Report: Anthony Edwards SF (Hip), Taurean Prince SF (Ankle), and Kyle Anderson SF (Illness) are listed as questionable. Karl-Anthony Towns C (Calf) and Jordan McLaughlin PG (Calf) are listed as out.
