Injury Report for Heat
The Miami Heat continue their four-game homestand on Tuesday night. They went 3-2 on the road, including a 104-96 win over the Suns, but lost at home.
Miami surrendered a fourth-quarter lead to the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, falling 102-101. They were labeled as two-point dogs in the loss. The Heat have recently been on a roll, covering the spread in four of their last five games.
The Heat are 2-3 in their last five home games and 5-5 overall in their last ten. Miami has struggled offensively, scoring an average of 108.7 points per game, ranking them 30th in the league.
The defense has continued to shine, allowing 102 or fewer points in three of their last four games and limiting opponents to 109.2 points, which ranks second in the NBA.
- Tyler Herro
According to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, Herro is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Thunder due to left Achilles soreness.
Herro suffered a non-contact right leg injury late in Sunday’s loss to the Nets, and he appears to have an Achilles injury. While it’s unclear whether he’ll be available on Tuesday, the fact that he’s listed as questionable is encouraging given the injury was non-contact.
If he is unable to play against Oklahoma City, Victor Oladipo and Gabe Vincent (knee) are likely to see increased playing time.
Jovic (back) will be out for another four weeks, according to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
Due to a lingering back injury, Jovic hasn’t played since logging 19 minutes and recording nine points, three rebounds, and one block against the Timberwolves on December 26.
The Heat announced on Tuesday that the forward will be out for at least a month before being re-evaluated.
