The Hornets will travel to Toronto to face the Raptors on Tuesday. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. EST inside Scotiabank Arena.
LaMelo Ball ACTIVE, Gordon Hayward QUESTIONABLE for Hornets vs. Raptors game
The Hornets are coming off a 116-111 defeat to the Indiana Pacers. They struggled on defense, as they were unable to get enough consistent stops to win that game. If they want to challenge the Raptors on the road, they will have to apply more pressure in this one.
Gordon Hayward (hamstring) is questionable for the game against Toronto on Tuesday.
Hayward has missed the last three games due to a hamstring injury and appears to be on track for a fourth straight absence. Jalen McDaniels will almost certainly get another start against the Raptors.
LaMelo Ball is ready to participate in this game.
In 25 minutes against the Pacers on Sunday, he had 13 points (5-12 FG, 3-8 3Pt), two rebounds, and eight assists. Due to early fouls, Ball only played 25 minutes in the loss, and he eventually fouled out in the second half. Reduced minutes meant reduced output, which irritated managers everywhere.
However, the eight assists were impressive, and given his body of work this season, he should be able to quickly turn things around.
Toronto is coming off a 117-105 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. They played well on both ends of the court, and they will need to be aggressive in this one if they are to win at home.
Otto Porter Jr. SF (Toe) is out for this game.
