Latest news on Devin Booker and Cameron Payne
Last Monday, the Clippers defeated the Boston Celtics 113-93. They outrebounded Boston 46-36 and shot 10-for-25 from beyond the arc, while holding the Celtics to 43.4% field goal shooting (9-for-39 from deep).
Kawhi Leonard had his best game of the season against the Celtics, scoring 25 points, grabbing nine rebounds, and dishing out six assists. Paul George tallied 26 points and six rebounds, while Marcus Morris added 13 points on 6-for-8 shooting from the field.
The Phoenix Suns (16-12; 14-14 ATS) are on a five-game losing streak after being defeated 111-97 by the Houston Rockets on Tuesday. Deandre Ayton and Cameron Payne were both injured, and Devin Booker missed his second game in a row.
According to Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic, Devin Booker (hamstring) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Clippers.
Booker, who participated in Wednesday’s practice, is expected to return to the lineup after missing the previous two games with a left hamstring injury. Booker’s availability for Thursday’s game against the Clippers could be determined following the morning shootaround.

Deandre Ayton (ankle) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Clippers.
Ayton was injured in Tuesday’s loss to Houston and did not practice on Wednesday. If Ayton’s ankle injury does not improve by Thursday’s game against the Clippers, he will almost certainly miss the game. If that’s the case, Jock Landale or Dario Saric are candidates to garner the start.
Cameron Payne (foot) will miss the Clippers game on Thursday.
Payne will miss practice on Thursday after missing it on Wednesday due to a right foot sprain sustained in Tuesday’s game against the Rockets. Damien Lee and Landry Shamet should see increased playing time in his absence. Payne’s next appearance will be against New Orleans on Saturday.
