Injury Reports Pelicans - Jazz

Match on the same day:

The Utah Jazz was defeated by the Denver Nuggets 115-110. They struggled on defense, as they were unable to slow down the reigning MVP. This is also their second loss in a row, so they’ll be hoping to rebound in this one.

Lauri Markkanen (illness) is listed as questionable for the Pelicans game on Tuesday.

Due to a non-COVID illness, Markkanen missed Utah’s previous three games, but he practiced fully on Monday and will be able to return to game action on Tuesday.

He had averaged 13.0 points and 9.4 rebounds in his previous five games before his absence.

Simone Fontecchio (ankle) will miss the game against the Pelicans on Tuesday.

Due to an ankle injury, Fontecchio will miss his third game in a row. Collin Sexton (hamstring) is still out, but Utah expects Lauri Markkanen (illness), Mike Conley (rest), and Jordan Clarkson (hip) to return after missing the loss to Denver on Saturday.

The New Orleans Pelicans are coming off a 129-124 overtime victory over the Phoenix Suns. Although the game was close, New Orleans was the more efficient team. They shot 58.1% from the field in their last game and will look to continue that trend in this one.

According to Jim Eichenhofer of the Pelicans’ official website, Brandon Ingram (toe) will miss Tuesday’s game against the Jazz.

Ingram will miss his eighth consecutive game due to a toe sprain. The Pelicans, on the other hand, stated that they are hopeful that the All-Star forward will be able to play in either Thursday’s rematch against Utah or Saturday’s game in Phoenix.

While Ingram is out, Trey Murphy and Dyson Daniels will have expanded roles.

Herbert Jones (ankle) is probable for Tuesday’s game against the Jazz.

Jones has missed the last five games due to an ankle injury, but coach Willie Green believes he will be able to return during the Pelicans’ upcoming three-game road trip.

Dyson Daniels may see less playing time as the 24-year-old appears to be on the mend.
