Collin Sexton will be re-evaluated in one week after an MRI on Thursday revealed a mild right hamstring strain, according to Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune.
Sexton suffered a hamstring injury in the second half of Wednesday’s 124-123 victory over the Warriors. With Mike Conley (lower leg) expected to return Friday, Sexton is expected to return to the bench once he recovers from his own injury.
In nine games, the ex-Cavaliers guard averaged 16.9 points, 5.0 assists, and 2.0 rebounds in 30.0 minutes.
Lauri Markkanen (illness) will not take the floor for Saturday’s meeting with the Nuggets.
Simone Fontecchio has been downgraded from questionable to out due to a left ankle sprain. The rookie forward’s chance to suit up will be today’s game against the Nuggets.

Jamal Murray has appeared in the last seven games and is expected to play Saturday despite a knee injury.
He’s averaged 21.1 points, 5.9 assists, and 3.7 rebounds in 31.6 minutes per game over his last seven games.
Jeff Green is expected to play against the Jazz on Saturday despite a right knee contusion.
Green has played in the last two games after missing the previous seven due to a knee injury. The veteran forward should be able to suit up for the Nuggets on Saturday.
