UPDATE (Apr. 07):

UPDATE (Apr. 05):

Trae Young (illness) didn’t play against the Bulls on Tuesday. His status for Atlanta’s game against Washington on Wednesday, the second game of a back-to-back set, is still unknown, but at best, he is probably questionable.

UPDATE (Apr. 04):

Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports that Young’s health is in question for Tuesday’s game against the Bulls due to anything other than COVID.

Until Tuesday’s game against the Bulls, Young hadn’t missed a contest since early February. Expect Vit Krejci and Aaron Holiday to see more time in the lineup if Young is sidelined.

UPDATE (Mar. 26):

Trae Young was ejected during the third quarter of Saturday’s game against the Pacers for forcefully throwing the ball at a referee.

He finished with 14 points (6-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists, three rebounds and one steal in 21 minutes.

Young was upset about an offensive foul call, which prompted him to fire the ball at the referee responsible. With the incident, the point guard is now at 15 technical fouls for the season, meaning he’ll be automatically suspended for one game if he racks up another tech.

UPDATE (Mar. 25):

Trae Young’s status for Saturday’s game against the Pacers is in doubt due to a calf contusion.

It’s possible that Young will miss his first game since February 4 due to a maintenance day, as the Hawks have a back-to-back this weekend. The severity of the calf issue remains unclear, but he appeared fine.

UPDATE (Mar. 22):

The Hawks (36-36) recently defeated the last-place Detroit Pistons (109-129) in their home court.

Trae Young scored 30 points and added 12 assists at Detroit for his 35th double-double. It was his 24th game with 30-plus points.

UPDATE (Mar. 19):

According to Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Trae Young’s status for Sunday’s game against the Spurs is up in the air because of a bruised right knee.

Young has been on a roll, posting at least 25 points and seven assists in six straight games.

UPDATE (Mar. 17):

Young played 34 minutes in Monday’s 136-115 loss to the Timberwolves. He scored 41 points (15-25 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 10-10 FT) and had 7 assists, 6 rebounds, and 1 steal.

Young was the only bright spot in an otherwise dull night for the Hawks. The point guard has been on fire lately, scoring at least 30 points in each of the last two games and averaging 31.4 points per game over the last five.

Young’s usual number of assists was lower than usual because his team struggled to make three-point shots on Monday (they made only four of 22 attempts).

UPDATE (Mar. 13):

Young had 35 points (12-27 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 7-7 FT), 13 assists, and 3 rebounds in 34 minutes against the Celtics on Saturday, but his team lost by a score of 134-125.

Young’s fantasy line was more valuable in points leagues due to his poor shooting (44.4 percent on high volume) and lack of defensive contributions, while point guard owners in category leagues still had to be content with the high output in points and assists. Before last Saturday, Young was on a roll, averaging 2.6 steals per game in his previous five contests. His season average of 1.1 thefts per game, however, does not do justice to his full ability.

UPDATE (Mar. 10):

During Wednesday’s win over the Wizards, 122-120, Trae Young had 28 points (11-14 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, and 33 minutes on the court.

UPDATE (Mar. 06):

Although Trae Young has still been productive, he has slowed down recently, scoring only 23 and 8 points in his last two games. The 24-year-old point guard is averaging 26.7 PPG and 10.1 APG so far this season.
