The Pistons and 76ers finish a home-and-home series Tuesday night. The Sixers are 24-15 on the season, while the Red Wings are 11-32.
The latest injury status of Joel Embiid and PJ Tucker
The Sixers were without superstar Joel Embiid in their win over the Pistons on Sunday, but they didn’t need him because James Harden filled in. It was classic Harden on Sunday, as the sharpshooter did a little bit of everything and recorded a triple double in the win.
Joel Embiid is listed as questionable for this game, but he may play.
He will most likely not play because they will give him more time to rest his foot. They have Oklahoma City at home after this Detroit game, and I’m sure they’ll rest him for that as well, as they prepare for a five-game road trip to the west coast. Embiid isn’t necessary for the Sixers in this game.
If he is unavailable again on Tuesday, Montrezl Harrell and Paul Reed will almost certainly continue to see increased playing time.
Meanwhile, PJ Tucker (illness) is probable for this game.
Tucker was unavailable Sunday against Detroit due to a non-COVID illness, but he’ll likely be back in action for Tuesday’s rematch. Assuming he’s available, his workload will likely depend on whether Joel Embiid (foot) is able to suit up.

The Detroit Pistons are once again struggling. It doesn’t help that they lost their best player for the season, Cade Cunningham. With an 11-32 record, they are 18.5 games behind the first-place Celtics in the Eastern Conference. They were defeated by the Sixers 123-111 on Sunday.
Injury reports: Bojan Bogdanovic (Calf), Jalen Duren (Ankle), Isaiah Livers (Shoulder), Buddy Boeheim (Toe) and Marvin Bagley III (Hand).
